2 Tawarikh 2:7

Konteks

2:7 “Now send me a man who is skilled in working with gold, silver, bronze, and iron, as well as purple, crimson, and violet colored fabrics, and who knows how to engrave. He will work with my skilled craftsmen here in Jerusalem 1  and Judah, whom my father David provided.

2 Tawarikh 23:14

Konteks
23:14 Jehoiada the priest sent out the officers of the units of hundreds, who were in charge of the army, and ordered them, “Bring her outside the temple to the guards. 2  Put the sword to anyone who follows her.” The priest gave this order because he had decided she should not be executed in the Lord’s temple. 3

2 Tawarikh 28:23

Konteks
28:23 He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus whom he thought had defeated him. 4  He reasoned, 5  “Since the gods of the kings of Damascus helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me.” But they caused him and all Israel to stumble.

[23:14]  2 tn Heb “ranks.”

[23:14]  3 tn Heb “for the priest had said, ‘Do not put her to death in the house of the Lord.’”

[28:23]  4 tn Heb “the gods of Damascus, the ones who had defeated him.” The words “he thought” are supplied in the translation for clarification. The perspective is that of Ahaz, not the narrator! Another option is that “the kings” has been accidentally omitted after “gods of.” See v. 23b.

[28:23]  5 tn Heb “said.”
